Luka Modric is set to join AC Milan after the club world cup.

Being perfectly honest, I didn't see that coming.

Got confirmed yesterday too.

I’d have loved one last dance here. That little genius is still probably the best I’ve seen in my lifetime at the club, with Bale and Kane his closest competition. Appreciate he probably couldn’t do 90 mins now in the Prem but doubt there’d be anyone better for 25-30 mins off the bench. Having some of the youngsters to learn from him too would’ve been invaluable. Once in a generation midfielder.

Harry not being here for two of those years probably shows you the level ahead he was of his strike competition. Subconsciously maybe I’ve been too harsh on Solanke/ Richarlison because ultimately having had Kane for a decade I probably forgot what “normal” strikers are capable of and have probably judged them at times in comparison to him, which is probably unfair.

I think it is accurate to say that the gap between Kane and Solanke is the same as the gap between Solanke and Richarlison.

KWP joining West Ham.

Wash your mouth out, son.
Just got relegated. Signs up for another one.

Bit of an odd one, as he seems to be joining as backup.
They've got ****y-Ballsack and Emerson, plus they just signed Diouf.
They've also got Scarles, but he might get loaned out now, I guess.
He'll get some game time during the AFCON.

Portsmouth are in the Championship and Stevenage are in League One, for anyone that's lost track.
Stevenage's goalkeeper last season was Murphy Cooper, who was on loan from QPR.
Pompey's was Nicolas Schmid, who Whiteman might struggle to dislodge.
The Austrian's only got a year left on his contract though, so maybe not.

Both clubs' most frequently used player last season was an ex-Spurs academy player.
Connor Ogilvie made 46 appearances for Portsmouth.
Harvey White made played 49 times for Stevenage.

AZ Alkmaar lost their first leg 2nd Conference qualifying round game 4-3 to Ilves of Finland.
They are currently 4-0 up in the return leg and Troy Parrott scored the first two.
I wonder if his off-field activities will keep any potential suitors at bay?

Andros Townsend appears to have signed for Thai League 1 team Kanchanaburi Power FC.
They formed 8 years ago and the most notable local spot is The Bridge on the River Kwai.

I wonder if he'll do any touristy videos while he's out there?
Some of the scenery and sights look pretty interesting.
