Genuinely think I watched that whole game with a smile on my face. The score capped it off but before a ball was kicked it was just great to know you were gonna watch players who really “got it” when it came to playing for Spurs. The front four of Berba, Keane, Defoe and Lennon played like they’d just finished training back in 2006/2007, Sandro and Daws also with some stellar displays, Gomes with a wonder-save and my boy, Teemu grabbing a sweet assist.

Pirlo for Milan was also just pure *chef’s kiss*, the man’s passing and technique is out of this world. Cafu also still ran the line like he was 25!

Gutted I was unable to get back for it and see it in the flesh, Ledley’s Testimonial and the Inter legends game were also brilliant watches. Can’t beat a bit of nostalgia!

I get the feeling we won't be hearing people demand Poch return after the USKMFDM's abject display when losing the third place playoff in the CONCACAF Nations League then...?

To judge him on that would be foolish.

Saying that, I don’t think a return is right for him or more importantly Spurs.

ITV 4 this morning had Stoke V Spurs in the 84/85 season we won 1-0 from a Crooks goal , Stokes keeper came charging out to clear ,missed the ball and Crooks had a tap in , piss poor game but the most outstanding thing was the state of the pitch , it was a dung heap , how they managed to pass or control , even Hoddle struggled , that win kept us in 2nd place behind Everton
