He seems to be a bit of a penalty specialist then because I’m pretty sure he saved 2 (maybe even 3?) of the penalties in our shootout against Watford in the league cup about 6 years ago.

Always thought we should’ve kept onto him but good to see he’s having a decent time out in Spain.

Ironically he would've been a decent keeper for Conteball, as his kicking would have got the ball out to the WBs quickly, accurately and most importantly consistently in a way that Hugo never could

Yeah, he saved two in that League Cup game, including one from Capoue, which will have stung.
He also saved one in a 0-0 draw with Watford in the league from that twat Deeney.
It was that game where Lamela didn't score at the death because the ball was 10mm away from being wholly over the line.

Luka Modric came on as a sub yesterday, breaking the great Ferenc Puskas' long-standing record as oldest player to represent Real Madrid.

What an absolutely stellar career he's had and as painful as it was to see him leave, I take pride in the fact that Spurs contributed heavily to the development of one of the all-time greats of the game.

Scored 3, should've had about 6 or 7. Stuttgart only managed 1 shot on target and only 4 in total.

That was his sixth hat trick for Bayern in not even a year and a half.

He managed eight in the PL in over 9 years.
The best team in a worse league.
He also scored a hat-trick of penalties against Zagreb last month. I don't think I've ever seen us get three penalties in a game.
It's getting to the point where we don't get that many in a season! <laugh>

He's now got 57 goals in 55 games for Bayern.

Bonkers record.

It's a much weaker league than the PL. The best teams there can more than hold their own but there aren't many of them. The difference is in the also-rans. The PL is stacked with teams who can handle themselves and give the bigger sides a really tough time. In the Bundesliga, everyone from 8th down are pretty dire.

We should sign him to see if he can cut it in the Prem.

Davinson Sanchez scored the opener as Galatasaray beat Besiktas 2-1. Beautifully taken consolation from Muci.
Looks like we might want to work on defending free-kicks. Two good deliveries from Gabriel Sara. Lots of diving, too.
