I see that the club left off any mention of his part-'ownership'. His departure, in acrimony, with the club in turmoil was a sad end to his history with us.

He was a very good player and a fabulous coach, but most of all, he was FUN...something that seems sadly lacking in the corporate world of today's football. I will miss that side of him most of all.

Slightly before my time although I am just about old enough to remember the 1991 cup final.

My grandfather met Terry a few times and they grew up not far from eachother in Dagenham. Said he was an absolute gentleman and a joy to be around.

I turned on the TV yesterday and saw the bazaar sight of Jimmy Greaves in a pink leotard wrestling Kendo Nagasaki, Jimmy went under the name of "Griller Greaves" this was in a best of Saint and Greavsie episode
I had to check my coffee to make sure Mrs Conn had not slipped me a Mickey

Kendo Nagasaki was the pseudonym of the exotically named Peter Thornley.
He changed it to that from the even more exotic Brian Stevens.
