Did this line up ever play together, I'm not sure but for Dier to be the lone survivor make me wonder how

I feel a bit for Kane here. The rest of that Bayern side look ****. The signs were there in the second half of last season. They don't just need a striker, they need a rebuild. He may well end up regretting the move.

Rebuild?

They have one of the youngest squads of all the traditional 'big teams' across Europe. Kane is one of their oldest outfield players and he only just turned 30.

New GK is needed as both are well into their 30's iirc, but everywhere else seems pretty set for the next 4-5 years.

But you're right, there is something 'off' about them. I don't think sacking Nagelsmann when they did was wise, especially when you consider how phenomenal they'd been in the CL up to that point. Brought in Tuchel to supposedly win the CL outright and the league but they failed in the former and only just scraped the latter.

I don't think age comes into it tbh, it's the lack of quality all across that squad.

I don't think they're anywhere near good enough to compete in the CL (and I don't see them as favourites in the league). Tuchel doesn't help either (for Kane or the style of play).
