Time to bring him home? Might be a good influence to have around and I'm sure he's got a decent understanding of the game.
To call Crouch unorthodox is probably downplaying it somewhat.
Very unusual modern striker and he might be able to teach the kids a few things.

For our delightful Mouser visitors, a flashback to his perfect hat-trick against the filth:

Hopefully the club will put together a highlights clip for him.

Peter Crouch, our former walking lamp post. A very handy player to have in your side. One thing ticked me off …..being sent off at Real Madrid early on,which totally screwed us up in the CL.

I think Crouch because of his height was used as a target man in the area but for someone of that stature he was pants with his head and was far more useful with his feet , that said sometimes he was like a giraffe on rollerskates
Best of luck with the retirement big man and you will always be remembered fondly for your time at the lane

Scored 53 headed Premier League goals, IIRC. Nobody else even has 50.

Looking at the goals he scored for us he did like that far post header back across the keeper.

My favourites though were the one at City, the ones against the Milan clubs and the back heeled volley to complete a hat-trick at Preston - Top bloke too a career media in the media beckons for sure and I wish him well.

I will add that he mentions in his book the awful abuse he got at Gillingham - the cries of 'Freak' and 'Does The Circus know your here?' - I was at Priestfield that night and it is one of those matches that does stick in your mind. Mind you he was superb that night best player on the park by a mile. I also saw him play there for Pompey and Norwich and he was the best player on show in those matches too.
