I have long been an advocate of "managed fund" schemes for these kids. In the main giving them an annual "allowance"that is proportionate to the "man in the street" income of the supporters, but nowhere near enough to fund the childish ostentatious behaviour that seems to befall kids of their age. That would not mean that the kids would not have their funds to use if they wanted to purchase a residence, but in the hope that come their career end they would be mortgage free home owners, and with a tidy sum that would mean they never have to work another day again to support their family etc.
There are rumours that Barcelona are about to sign Juan Foyth, formerly of this parish. We never got to grips with how to develop his career, despite it being clear that there was talent in there. There are some parallels to Bryan Gil, in that he may just not have been suited to the PL. At least Gil's not going to be sitting around in N17 wasting his time...although I reckon that his permanent future is also back in Spain and may also be quite a bright one, too.
Media saying we are interested in Malinovski , I immediately YouTube him and he looks good , can take free kicks and corners ,has pace , yes let's get him and then my inner self slaps me hard and shouts CHIRICHES
He was unfortunate to have Sonny in his position but it has to be said that for every Leicester performance there were 5/6 where he just didn’t impact games. Looked too unsure of his body. I get that the surety comes with game time but he definitely seems the kind of player who needs to be guaranteed a starting position to really feel comfortable. I’m glad he’s found that at Ajax, and that we got a good fee for him in the process. Sometimes, everyone wins.
You could be right, but lack of game time and injuries didn't help him settle. Still not 100% sure we should have sold him, but certainly wish him every success
The moment he did that stupid Fortnite eye celebration, I knew his career at the top was over. What a tragic fall from grace.
He’s another Ravel Morrison, except he did actually have a couple of genuinely great seasons, unlike the Manc.
I know it's time to move on but every time I see Dele and his highlights I feel sorry for the lad , it takes me back to the lob at the library such a simple goal but it summed him and Kane up at the time , they just had an understanding I hope he comes through this slump
