There was a fan walk out en masse around 15mins before the end of their title clincher against Lens yesterday, with supporter groups saying they'd rather celebrate the title win 'away from the players and coaches'.

Such a toxic, entitled, sanctimonious club whose supporters have simply been poisoned by years of artificial success.

I am in still in disbelief he was stupid enough to take the job.

No way Conte deems Ligue 1 a suitable challenge to be tempting. I agree - I think it'll be Zidane and I think he'll do a better job than most in managing the colossal egos in that dressing room.

I don’t think anyone deems Ligue 1 the actual challenge, it’s whether they think they could win the CL for PSG that’d probably entice managers like Zidane or Conte.

As for Poch, I think it made sense for him to have a year or two there, chuck the “never won a trophy” label in the mud but now he needs out and to a club where he can start a new genuine project again to boost not only his experience but also credentials.

But can he though? Really?

PSG celebrating winning Ligue 1 is like me receiving a standing ovation for successfully tying my shoes.

Yeah I’d say so. Roughly 90% of trophy/ title wins throughout Europe these days are won by managers at clubs expected to do so.

Listen CK when you reach my age tying your shoes is a big deal and a good indicator of general fitness. 3 cheers and a round of applause would seem quite appropriate to me and not to be compared to lightweight achievements like PSG or Citeh winning their leagues.

It's worse than that, as it's normally the same bloody teams every year.
Bayern made it 10 on the trot by cheating Dortmund on the weekend.
Inter broke Juve's 9 year streak, but only those two and Milan have won it since 2001.
Well, apart from the year that nobody won it, as they were all cheating.

PSG have won 8 out of 10, while Real and Barca are occasionally interrupted by Atletico.
Three teams dominate in Portugal and the same is true in Holland.
It's just two in Scotland and it was only one for the best part of a decade.
Red Bull have bought the Austrian league and there are similar issues across Europe.

The Premier League gets a lot wrong, but there's a mixture of winners, at least.
The same teams winning titles all the time is boring and not what sport's about.

I've heard/read this in a few places. Apparently Sacramento was a complete bellend who stoked problems between the players and Maureen and contributed immensely to the atmosphere turning so toxic.

Yeah, I've seen this, too. It's probably why Roma gave him the boot a while back.
Mourinho's quite demanding and you don't need an assistant with the same harshness.

Especially when that assistant is younger than many of the players and has a playing career that ended at academy level.

No way would I take grief from someone like that.

I definitely remember whispers after Mason took over that the ubermensch/Sacramento pairing could be described as Bad Cop/Bad Cop

I do think there's a whiff of Villas Boas about Sacramento, given he has a similar attitude of demanding respect from his players as soon as he's walked in the door, which LAdPCeV-B was guilty of at Chelsea and with us

Madrid are considering sanctions against Bale as he’s (apparently) coming up with excuses of not being able to play, this time claiming he’s got a back problem just when Ancelotti was going to rotate him into the side tomorrow <laugh>.

It’s so refreshing someone’s taking that club for a ride, especially as it winds up their fans who are by far the most entitled ****ers in football.

Keep fighting the good fight, Gareth. Few more months and you can come home <whistle>

Wonder if he's basically playing poker with Ancelotti on
getting at least 30 mins in the CL SF 2nd leg, and on a
Madrid win a place in the starting XI for the final.

Highly doubt it, I think he’s just counting down the days until he picks up his final £600k pay cheque, I honestly think he has little to no interest in doing anything more for Madrid.

He may as well just walk round with the “Wales.Golf.Madrid - in that order” flag wrapped round his torso during training and at the stadium.
