    Again, I was a fan. He played in an increasingly poor team after joining in '75.

    I think that Smithy said that he ran like he was wearing wellies, which was brilliantly accurate...but he knew where the net was. Whilst he was at the club, he was our best striker...and by some distance.

    John Duncan , unfortunately injury prone but he bagged 53 goals in a 103 games , played up front with Chris Jones
    Every time I see this kit it reminds me of relegation but I have a great fondness of this era at the Lane

    His wife denied it on social media, then deleted her accounts.

    In completely unrelated news, it's been reported that a Premier League player has been arrested.
    He's 31, married, it was the Greater Manchester Police and his club has suspended him...

    True...just seen the main stream press reporting a player was arrested then released on bail.
    He is an international, 31 years old, has had several multi million pound moves and was arrested by Manchester police.
    ****ing grim stuff.
