I am not suggesting that any of those 3 should be first choice. They should be given a few starts though here and there and not just 20 minutes every other week for JWP, Targett only when we want to play a 5 man backline and Reed only if there is no one else left.

The 5 min cameos in games we are winning should be used for those behind those 3 to get them experience but we should be able to play these 3 in a few games here and there from the start. Not necessarily all in the same game. They will not improve if they do not get real gametime and that means they can continually be ignored because "They aren't good enough."

Stones and Barkley weren't good enough when they came through but they have been given enough game time to help them improve. Ours don't get that.

Stones didn't come through at all - they signed him from Barnsley.

So, Albers is doing his job respectfully and gets canned. FFS, an agent with morals. Right thats it, I'm all for De Boer now.......
just because of Albers!
I suppose if Les takes a liking to De Boer he will at least know what the agent is like to work with. Must be a bonus, I would've thought.

FFS just go already! Thanks for a couple of good seasons Ron, maybe you can get into Europe with Everton? Just want us to get a manager in please not moyes or howe.

They probably do but the media representation is given a more positive stance. With Saints we 'lose players' with other teams they are 'let go' or 'replaced'. Semantics can paint a very different picture.
Fair point. West Ham in particular have lost a lot of top players over the years now I think about it.

No not a snob. Neville just demonstrated that he is ignorant.

My dustbin man is a lovely chap but I don't seek his views on the important matters of the world. Perhaps the BBC would like to ask him for his views on Ron's departure from Saints.
You surely can't be referring to Everton legend Neville Southall?

The 2 times league title winning keeper who was the best in the World in his pomp.....ignorant on the standing of EFC?

<laugh>

Well, his job is to represent his clients' interests. If Koeman was interested in the Everton job, then Albers should have explored it. So he would be ethically in breach of his duties were he to turn down Everton for the benefit of De Boer at the cost of Koeman's wishes.

But from reports, it seems as though Koeman really wasn't very interested in Everton's initial offer. So there was nothing wrong with Albers turning that down. Nor with suggesting one of his other clients as an alternative. He's looking out for both clients.

Of course, that would only apply the rejection of the initial offer. If Everton came back with a better offer and Koeman was at least mildly interested in exploring it and having negotiations, then Albers would inevitably run into a conflict of interest with two clients both wanting the same job.

So that would be a reason for Koeman to switch agents even if he didn't feel particularly betrayed or unhappy with Albers. And Albers would not be a hero, or villain, or victim. It's just business.
