Agree with your first two sentences. Unfortunately with very few exceptions people follow the money and this was an auction Saints could not win so why start and push RC salary even higher?
Maybe Everton Board wanted RC as their first choice and have really racked off Emery who was led to believe he was "The Man"
How sweet if he came to us and if you reflect for a moment there is no better run, financially secure or higher placed club than Saints who he could go to and who hopefully will get back to fully promoting their youth set up which I understand is something which excells at. There could be a lot of pissed off Evertonions but who knows what will happen -- I dont

Only an undercurrent of disappointment that he was no different to 'the others'.
Me? I want to know the whole story before I blow a gasket, and if there are extenuating circumstance I will keep my peace, don't want to look a complete plonker just because I got the wrong end of the stick completely.

Not upset as such, just annoyed that Koeman is taking all the credit and cashing in on what has been a collaborative effort these last two seasons. He should not have gone back on his word and at least seen out his contract and then seen what was about.
