Who would you have as our next Manager

Where's all this AVB talk come from though, I highly doubt it's going to be him, in fact I'd be shocked.

I sincerely hope the fact he tends to manage CL sides rules him out. Saints' board has more imagination than that, I hope.

We had better make our new manager an Englishman as according to my mates down the pub if Brexit succeeds all foreigners are going to be kicked out of the country.

Scotland will immediately have a referendum to leave the UK and this time they'll succeed.

We should thank our lucky stars we have got shot of Koeman and have time to replace with him before he gets sent home to Holland.

The future looks grim - the future could be Brexit.

There is more chance of Koeman doing a u-turn and coming back than of the Brexit

Has Emery definitely knocked Everton back? Or is it just rumours? I thought Koeman was the main target the whole time?

And if he has we have no idea why he might have done so. He might not have liked: scale of rebuild required, loss of best players, what he saw of the base he has to work with, structure of the club/new owners etc.

Perhaps he was also offered less than Koeman was. It seems like they significantly increased their offer to Ronald after the initial rejection. Consider that plus the fact Emery might have been on less than Koeman is on here (due to Spain vs. England). The offer to him might have been relative to his initial salary

Impossible to know. I do agree it is very unlikely he will come to us

Everton not in Europe at all, for a start. He's in CL with Sevilla - has no need to drop out of competitions where his strengths lie.

Really hope there's an announcement today. Just scrolling through Facebook, and the amount of fans who are still thinking RK to Everton will not happen and that its just media bullshit, is unreal.
Get a grip people, he has gone already.
Knowing SFC they'll put something on the web around 10.30 / 11pm tonight, just to try and not make a big thing about it.
It will probably read: SFC can confirm that Ronald Koeman has left Southampton to Join Everton Football Club.
We are now pro activally looking for a new manager to continue the Southampton Way.

Pellegrini for me - assuming we can afford his wages. Vast experience, a winner, wants to stay in the EPL and will draw players to the club. Only issue for me is would he develop the youth as we would all like.

I think that Pellegrini is the obvious choice. Southampton are a club on the up and there is no way that we should consider any untested characters like Ryan Giggs nor the likes of David Moyes. We are too big a club no to take a chance on these people.

I agree that Eddie Howe is one for the future but Saints have to look towards a manager with international pedigree end of.
