Who would you have as our next Manager

I was sure that Koeman would stay as I believed that he would stay true to his word. But I don't feel let down that much. It seems to me that we weren't that ready to give Ron the assurances about investing in the squad that he required and therefore he wasn't that ready to commit to us for a longer period. Then Everton came with a tempting offer and both parties were willing to consider it.

I'll still like Koeman, the old git. He's a class act.

Ron was happy with the contract offer, players signing longer contracts and more to do so. He was also happy with the clubs future plans. Then Everton came in with a crazy offer and things changed. This is nothing about our ambition.

Can we rename this as the 'The new Saints manager'* thread or something similar? Seeing as, y'know, Koeman has gone. (bar the announcements)

*Who's next? / The manager search of 2016 - something like this?

You know Ron then, do you? Say hello for me.

Betfair in particular are liking John Hughes. I wonder if that has anything to do with Ross Wilson (I don't know what sort influence, if any, he has behind the scenes) - it's possible that him and Hughes crossed paths at Falkirk as director and manager, but I'm not certain.
We`d get a laugh with Hughes if nothing else. At Falkirk, someone was being interviewed on the pitch, and Hughes did a streak in the background. It`ll be on Youtube I imagine.

It will be a funny day when he comes to St Mary's, inevitably gets **** but being the classy press man he is, he just brushes it off.

I think the song about Pochettino that ends with a particularly rude word will get a slight tweak. :)

I had a boss who left his job a few years ago - he was an arrogant fella, and phoned me up a couple of weeks after he jumped ship to find out if he'd been replaced yet...I said "yes, with a stapler and a new pot of tippex". He never called me again.

Irrelevant I know, but the thread title reminded me of him
