That's what I'm saying. Ron would have given the go ahead to his agent to start talks with us with lawyers etc so would have been happy with what we offered. Then Everton came in, and he's gone. Simple, but sad.

I haven't found it that hard to be honest. The manner of his leaving leaves a bit of a bitter taste, but there are plenty of very good managers out there, some currently unemployed.
