Who would you have as our next Manager

Bigger club I'll just about give you, on the basis of bigger gates. But I'm pretty sure their wage bill isn't significantly greater than ours. When Ron does leave, he can do better.

I think their wage bill is significantly higher, which would explain why their best players haven't been sold

Koeman has reiterated several times, he will see out his contract with Southampton. Everton could offer him a £400m budget and he wouldn't leave. I am extremely confident that he will stay AT LEAST until the end of next season.

The thing which really annoys me is that every article about Ron from this point forward will mention him being linked to a move away. No matter what he says in the press conference tomorrow (and I hope he clearly says no) every article from now on will reference him being linked to a move away. Drives me mad when they do it with our players all the time.

Anyone can see that the Everton job is not a better job than ours. Everton is a decades long story of mediocrity. The only thing that will tempt is higher salary, which they can and will pay. Ron is just not the man to deliver salvation there - not enough emotional cache imo. They're the ultimate water treaders. He needs to move from us at some point to eventually get the Barca job, but this sideways move is not the one. I see an intrinsic link between Virgil's six year contract and Ron's future, so am confident that Ron is going to stay. If he did go, however, there is a definite problem to address at this club, re: incentives. We are at yet another crossroads, with key players allegedly on the move. I would expect - if continuity is genuinely prized - EITHER players OR manager to go - not both.

End of the day if he goes he goes. We can't stop him so no point in worrying about it. If he does go before his contract is up it just makes him a liar is all. But plenty of people in football are liars.

Van Dijk is talking there about Koeman staying for the long term Beefy. Not just beyond this season. If he's confident then we should be also.

I know he was. I was on about if all the papers turn out to be true.
