He was there for the first but got appointed midway through the season, think shortly after Christmas. Still has to get some credit for that!

Didn't realise that, I stand corrected! ;)

The thing with Emery, although it would be a coup, he is a negative manager.
Under defensive, lots of rotation and Centre Backs in midfield.

I'd be tempted to go for De Boer/AVB personally.

Didn't look defensive when Sevilla were ripping Liverpool apart.

I am not bothered too much about who we get, I don't know enough about any of them, I trust Les to sort it, but I would rather we got one that was readily available and wants to come, not poaching one off another Club and ruining it for another teams supporters.

Scored bucketloads in '14/'15. Losing Bacca last year hurt...they weren't blessed with a tonne of goalscorers last year beyond Gameiro.

It's quite possible he wanted European football as well as the money - win or just do well in the Europa with us and he'll be joining a proper big club soon enough. More prestige to be gained faster here, but it requires a huge amount of self belief ( and a willing to turn down mega-money to rebuild Everton). By going to Everton, Koeman has got loads of cash but is basically repeating the last year or two of his career.

Without the benefit our excellent scouting system and the black box...

Patrick Viera. We would be grooming him for the next two years until he takes over from Arsene at Arsenal. Would be a terrific appointment in my opinion and considering the shelf life of recent Saints managers is no more than 2 and half years, we should not be disappointed when he leaves. This is assuming that Ronald is going to take up the appointment with AC Milan. Isn't that his destination? Or should be if they were interested?
