got it so Scars babes was a nugget who took the miners through the hardest time ever to prove a point that he didn't have to suffer with cos he had true yorkshiremen with big hearts who believed in his silky tongue which he used to better himself, sorry mate i know your feeling on this subject but please put a different cap on and look at it from a different angle dont forget Durham had as many pits as Yorkshire and my family worked in most of them
If i could decipher what that first line of your comment is i'd answer it, but why put a different angle on something. If you do your research Its on record that when Thatcher became PM, in her first cabinet meeting she said we are going to war with the miners, when asked by one of her ministers, "why, are they going on strike again" she replied no, but they will be, she orchestrated the strike because she wanted revenge and to smash the unions and who best to start with than the biggest union and the one that brought the Heath government down, as i said, Scargill played into her hands and lost. but he as been vindicated since, he was right, he just went the wrong way about it
what's that saying usually regarding soldiers,? 'Lions led by donkeys
There's a good book called 'The enemy within' give it a read, you may learn something.

Roger, seeing as we're talking about the Wicked Witch, what are your thoughts on the stories that went about that Thatcher sent the British troops to the South Atlantic to save her own political career as she was way down in the opinion polls and she was ****ting herself again?
