I am an ex miner mate, it was Thatcher who started the destruction of British industries to smash the unions, Blair finished it off for her. I hate Thatcher with a passion, but have got to admit, she would not stand for what is happening to this country now. i agreed with her right to buy policy too as it helped a lot of people to get on the property ladder, she just had ulterior motives, get the plebs in debt and they won't fight back when they shaft them I believe it was her who made credit cards easier for people to obtain too
Then how do you explain the signed photo of her in your wallet,"To my favourite miner, you can shaft me anytime", love Mags xx
with due respect Scargill was the obnoxious little **** who cause all the trouble, they were always on strike with him leading the Trosky Twat until Thatcher stockpiled the coal 2 years worth they were never going to win, but scargill wouldn't compromise yet he didn't have to struggle like the working man, he couldn't give a **** about them, thats what i saw was i wrong
The miners were on the brink of winning, if Thatcher hadn't lied to NACODS and said it wasn't about pit closures it would have been all over, she **** herself when they said the would come out in support of the miners so blatantly lied to them, Scargill was proved right in the end, he just played into Thatchers hands
got it ............so Scars babes was a nugget ,who took the miners through the hardest time ever to prove a point ,He didn't have to suffer cos he had true yorkshiremen with big hearts who believed in his silky tongue which he used to better himself, sorry mate i know your feeling on this subject but please put a different cap on and look at it from a different angle dont forget Durham had as many pits as Yorkshire and my family worked in most of them
