Just read this on our unofficial website...

Carroll Cockerel claims continue

Saturday brought renewed tabloid speculation that Spurs had increased their offer for Andy Carroll to either £23m or £25m - depending on which paper you believe.

However Newcastle United were quick to rebuff the claims, saying that their number nine was not for sale.

The transfer window closes on Monday and this one could go right to the wire, regardless of Ashley & Co's current stance. There may yet be a sting in the tail.

They don't seem to get it either. He's not for sale, he's not for sale, he's not for sale, he's not for sale, he's not for sale, he's not for sale, he's not for sale, he's not for sale.

He's simply not for sale.

Pardew:
"He's not going to Spurs, he's not going anywhere,"

"It's been going on and on, it's ridiculous, we've said he's not for sale,"

“Andy is not for sale, again,”

"He's not for sale, how many times does it have to be said? They can put together whatever they like. He is not for sale.

"I am going to say it one last time, he is not for sale,"

“The club would like to make it clear for the very last time that Carroll is simply not for sale.”

Carroll:

"It doesn't matter what other people or other teams are saying. This is the club I wanted to sign for.

"I signed a new contract and I want to be here for the rest of my life.

“I’ve always worked towards being where I am now and want to stay here – it’s as simple as that.”

"I don't want to leave. It's always been my ambition to play for Newcastle United and score goals at St James' Park, and that's what I've been able to do.

"For me, I only want to play for Newcastle."

"I'm happy here and I want to stay."

To be fair I think people know this board has a habit of lying and selling players behind the board's back anyone remember Milner going and the very uncomfortable press conference with Keegan a few days before he resigned.

That was a rapid and much more informative post then mine Beatski, do you have that saved on a notepad document or summat...? :D

Too true Guti, just can't be stressed enough.

I spose but Milner wanted to leave and to be fair, I agreed with that one. No point in keeping an unhappy player, and we got good money for him. Carroll doesn't want to leave so I don't think we have any reason to worry.

He's not for sale He's not for sale He's not for sale He's not for sale

*Phone rings* Wait you're offering us Neville and 10Million why not we love old rejects on high wages

I still cannot believe how much Carroll has come on since last January!

If you look back then, he was sometimes on the subs bench in the Championship and we had Marlon Harewood leading the line alongside Mr Lover Lover

Since then, he started making the strikers position his own and was brilliant 2nd half 2 last season

And now, he is almost if not already the complete centre forward. Guaranteed 2 be in England squad when fit imo and teams chasing him for £25m plus

Class player! Love him :D

They're both clearly wavering :)
