I doubt he does. However SAF is a manager who is unwilling to play a young player in far too many games in case of burn out. He admitted he did that at Aberdeen and deeply regretted it.
I am amazed the amount of grief Fletcher and Evans have been getting, considering the rest of the team were ****e. If Vidic had been sent off instead of Evans, nobody would be calling for his head and saying how **** he is. Anderson gave the ball away 3/4 times in the first half and his passing was poor, yet he seems immune to critisism in some people's eyes, because he is not Fletcher or Carrick. Nani did a grand total of **** all against a full back he torn strips off in the past. Evra went AWOL for at least 2 goals, including the important second. So laying the blame for todays debacle on Fletcher and Evans is wrong. Evans getting sent off obviously didnt help. The team created next to nothing in the whole game, including the first 20 minutes when we were making all the running.
Are you stupid?? Have you seen Evans this season.. the mans a complete defensive disaster. Got turned inside out by Torres against Chelsea, then by that Benfica player who scored against us, then against Norwich the amount of times he was beaten down the side by an average striker was ridiculous. Then to top it all off he plays yesterday and is the catalyst of an embarrasing score line. Give the ball away initially for the first goal, aswell as not getting to Balotelli quick enough. Then Balotelli has his pants down again and gets in behind him with the only thing Evans can do is drag him back cos he's absaloutly toilet.. Textbook Jonny Evans... The man should not be at our club full stop.
And just out of intrest constcrepe... whose the flat flooted defender whose not mobile enough to stop Torres and then chasing him back on your open goal video... and your trying to defend him :S.
Watch the footage again. Fletcher is also close to Torres. Why not mention him?

Immaculate and commanding, the consistency he's been looking for has definitely returned. An excellent tackle on Torres bailed Javier Hernandez out after a sloppy pass and one chested clearance illustrated his composure. Impressive again.

Name me a defender in the premier league who hasn't made a mistake this season? Yes we do need world class defenders. We have only one at the moment, and that is Vidic. Also yes Evans was caught flat footed for the Torres miss. Fletcher was already running with him. Did he bother to continue the run and follow after Torres? So why not mention him?
I agree and like you have questioned some of our players none more than Gibson. Don't rate the lad and cannot see why SAF believes in him. But if a player like Gibson down the line can put in good performance and prove me wrong, then fair enough.
