Tis the morning after the night before, think it deserved its own thread, what a phenomenal performance by Sam Ryder, seems like a lovely bloke, very good singer & good song, no gimmicks - for a change.

What a resullt! We were leading after round of the song jury votes! Then came the public votes, it came down to the wire with Ukraine, as expected, getting a massive public vote & show of support, they came from nowhere to pip us at the post. They were good though, so congrats to Ukraine, and #teamUK.

Don't know if anyone was watching, there is always one - the Spanish! I didn't think it possible to end up wearing less clothes than she started with, jigging her bare faced arse cheeks for all they were worth! Hope anyone watching of a certain age group have recovered!

In memory of Tickles, who loved a good Eurovision to take the piss out of!! Result to be proud of for once.

I haven't watched it for many years...it goes on forever! But with all the hype I did start watching and was quite surprised with the quality of the songs....Sam does seem a really down to earth guy for a spaceman! And it is a great song not really a Eurovision standard and hopefully we are taking it more serioulsy. I even stayed up to watch the results coming in...Although I did notice Australia Jury gave us nil points. There seemed am increasingly lack of political voting this year and we did get points from some unexpected countries which as nice.....A shame in a way that it was this year but it was expected Ukraine would win...and hats off to them a point well made...But Sam is alo a winner of the night....I even stayed up to the end it was cliff edge until the very last announcement.....I thought Mika also hosted well. And....I have recovered after the Spanish entry thank you very much!

Just read a good peace on line which said after last year enough was enough. The powers that be looked deep at it and came up with a plan which pretty much worked. Song, record producer, song writer, marketing.

Can be viewed as Total, Televote, Jury marks.
Scroll down almost to end of screen to the overall scoreboard...as you can see, while the French jury gave UK top marks, the French public were less enthused...mind you, what segment of the public of any country tend to vote in Eurovision would be an interesting social study in itself!!!

The public votes was worth 1,872 in total the same as the total for the judges. The point still stands though as the 439 was the highest ever total. Moldova and Serbia also got a massive share of the public vote.

It goes to show what the UK ca do with a decent entry. The Brits tend to complain about political voting and there is some but mainly we've had pretty **** songs since the 90s.

Agreed probably the best set of songs we've ever had .
Actually a really enjoyable contest for once .
Mika was a great Co host.
