Ha. I never seen owt about strippers, or owt from you marra, i didn't come back on line till Sat tea time, and the thread had been deleted, so there's nowt to apologize for!
You are a man among diamonds. If she does it agian just explain the rules to her. Thanks again marra.
Incedendtly, can Jane have her own log in & username? I already have mine & my boy Niall34 from this pc. Does it make a diffgerence mate?
Think you can have as many as you like from a PC mate, so long as you have seperate email addresses to set them up.
Oh right is that all she needs? Second thoughts maybe it's a bad idea. She can be a bit of a dafty. I will have to speak to her. She is a numpty geordie you know.
Well this is an interesting thread. I like comparisons between rivals, there's just a complete lack of recognition for any player that plays for your rivals, the average players become shocking and the top players become 'ok but he wouldn't get in our starting 11'. NUFC vs SAFC Krul over Mignolet and Gordon for me. Krul has shown he has what it takes at his young age, he has adapted to the Premier League very quickly and is a top shot stopper. His distribution is not amazing, but nor is Mignolet's or Gordon's. Gordon is a top keeper on his day, but he doesn't have enough of those days, so Krul just edges him out. For the record I think Mignolet is out of his depth...cue David de Gea jokes. NUFC have the central defenders, this isn't even a debate. A powerful, strong centreback in Taylor and a skilful and composed Coloccini who have kept out the best attacks one way or another during 2011. Sunderland for now have the full backs. Simpson looks extremely weak at times and Santon is unproven, so O'shea and Bardsley edge it for me, even though Bardsley is currently serving his 2nd ban of the season, for being incredibly dirty. If I was to pick 4 midfielders from the two sides, these would be them: Tiote - the guy is an animal, he looks possessed at times but will take the ball of any midfielder in this league. Cabaye - I watched this boy in Ligue 1 and he is near enough world class on his day, what an acquisition at £4.5m. Has the world at his feet and he hasn't even got started at Newcastle yet. Hatem Ben Arfa - providing he can put his injury problems behind him, he will be class. I don't think he's a cripple, but these type of injuries can have psychological affects on players. He has the one thing no other player has at these two teams, the ability to turn a game on it's head at the drop of a hat. SAFC fans obviously will give their vote to Sessegnon here, but that guy just doesn't have what a fit and hungry Ben Arfa has, he is still decent, but not in the same bracket. Larsson - Simply because he gets goals, and Jonas Gutierrez doesn't. There's more skill at the feet of Gutierrez but Larsson has proved he has goals in his locker and a better cross than that of the Argentinian. Strikers, wow, really spoiled for choice here.... I'd have picked Gyan here a couple of weeks ago, simply because of his decent return last season but he's not there now. I suppose it would be Best and Ji Wong Dong or whatever he's called, because of their goal returns this season. It's a tough one, for all the wrong reasons. So there you have it. A neutral point of view of what the best starting 11 would be.
This may be true to some extent, and i'm not saying he's crap or anything far from it, but in the two games iv'e watched him in this season he's been distinctly average, maybe iv'e watched the two wrong games, but one was the derby, and the other villa. I'll give you cabaye though, looks good...
Lucky at Liverpool to get 1 point Lucky Larsson didn't a red card against us Lucky at Swansea should have lost Lucky against Stoke own goals, deflections
Tiote has had a wobbly start. I don't know why. Perhaps it was ramadan, but against Villa he looked a LOT more like his usual self again and that's one of the reasons why we played so well. He finally got into a partnership where Cabaye and Tiote complimented each other instead of Cabaye essentially carrying Tiote at times. I pretty much agree 100% with you there. Sunderland do have the full backs, and whilst I think Jonas is a more skillful player than Larsson, Larsson does seem to have more in his locker when it comes to the actual important stuff: goals and assists. Can't argue with it really. Nice overview
I think that this is a fair and balanced assessment of the players. The only changes I would make would be to play Bendtner up front with HBA in the hole and Sessignon coming into midfield. As for Europe, I will be happy with any improvement on last year's 12th place finish. Europe should not even be considered.
Haha is Terry_Hardacre a Toon fan in disguise? Not that much of it is up for debate really, but I'd say this is more accurate: Krul Bardsley - Brown - Coloccini - O'Shea Larsson - Cabaye - Tiote - Jonas HBA Bendtner
I would have Sessegnon ahead of Ji and I would swap Brown for either O'Shea or Coloccini, other than that SPOT ON
You'd break up arguably one of the best defensive pairings we've had in a decade for Wes Brown? Are you mental? Brown is a good player, but so is Saylor, and when you have two players gelling so well as a unit, I'd say it would keep most other good CB's out of the equation. Saylor and Colo all day long for me if they keep these performances up. The rest is a decent idea, but I'd probably take Best over Bendtner right now purely on solid facts. If Bendtner shows more goal scoring ability I'll change my mind, but right now, all I know is that Best has scored 9 goals in 15 games spanning across two seasons.
I think that on current form there is a fair case for Brown being included. Both him and Taylor have had excellent starts to the season so it is a difficult choice. ( I must admit I did not think that Brown would do as well as he has.)
There is a fair case on paper, as I do think Saylor and Brown have both had excellent starts as you've said. However, there's more to it than just individual players, and when two players have managed to form such an effective partnership, it's difficult for other CB's to get a look in. I couldn't honestly say whether Brown and Coloccini's partnership would be more effective, and for that reason I couldn't include him in my choice. Close mind. And yeah, I didn't expect him to do as well either. Fair play to Bruce for bringing him in.
What made you think he was poor against Villa? He won more tackles and made more interceptions than anybody elese on the pitch, which is his job.
Didn't see nothing to write home about, didn't justify his hype on the basis of this game, and especially the derby....that's not to say, i'm saying he is a bad player, far from it, i have seen him in some good games for your lot.....Maybe he was just out-shined by the much better player in your team.
