What is the point about talking about going into Europe when we are so crap at cup games and have been for more than 15 years.

Eamon why do you have to be such a bleedin' realist? This is QPR, lose to Port Vale, thrash Porto

<ok>

Go check the Hull and Blackpool forums archives Groove, i'm sure you'll find similar threads there <rofl> There's a time for everything but we have bigger priorities than think about europe right now.

Rolling Stone said:
For me it's 10 points every two months :-

10 Points Aug/Sept
10 Points Oct/Nov
10 Points Dec/Jan
10 Points Feb/Mar
which gives a bit of relaxation in April and no pressure at all in May !!

This is more like it, good post :emoticon-0148-yes:

Europe IS possible.

Most realistically, it'll happen when Rochdale get disqualified for fielding a diminutive Pygmy and the reserves do the rest to bring home the Rumbelows cup (as it'll be restyled as the company does a pheonix-esque resurrection).

That 40 point plan (10 per two months) allowing for a difficult April does sound like a perfect plan though.

Only if you work out how many games there are in each 2 month period taking into account international breaks, FA Cup weekends (not that we will be involved, but opponents will be) etc. I can't be bothered but if anybody has the energy....

Poor old Grove,

he's been sitting there pondering how to make a positive 'post'

following.............' Faurlin, the emperors new clothes ' debacle.

He sat there and dreamt up this one, hovering over the submit button.... '' This will make them love me! ''

pressed it! And we've unleashed hell.

Keep 'em coming Grove, I enjoy your posts,

and your right, it's better than ' How many are we taking to Scunthorpe ? '

( and you also take the heat off of my rubbish offerings. )

Thank Grove for the 'Emperors New Clothes' thread...

Ali Faurlin clearly read it, took heed and upped his game to suit, eh Grove? That's our story kid and we're sticking to it!

Now, tell me what you REALLY think......!!

Blimey, it was meant to be a laugh and was in response to the hysteria after we humped the Wolves.

And regarding my Emporer's New Clothes post (I'd questioned Ally Faurlin's ability in another thread) I hope you have been following my other posts where I reckoned he was man of the match at Newcastle. If nothing else I am prepared to give a balanced point of view. Unless it is about Warnock or Barton who I still don't like and doubt I ever will.

There are other posts asking why it isn't so far fetched to finish above about 10 other teams in the Premiership and most replies think we are good enough. Was the joke idea that we could hit a Europa League spot so far off this thread?

Thanks for all your comments, now :emoticon-0109-kiss: my 'arris.
