We're you expecting some disagreement with the decision then, Spurf? :D By the way, I see from Goal.com that Dawson is in negs over a new 4yr deal. Apparently, his representatives are asking for another £20,000 pw, according to the story.
 
He's 30 this year - no offence, but 4 YEARS?????
Not sure what he would be on now, but would like to reward his loyalty with a proportionate increase on a 2 year deal.

Good to see Holtby starting, shame for Lloris though who I'm sure would have wanted to play at least one of these games.
 
That's a pretty strong starting 11 - happy with that and good to see Holtby in. Lot of pressure on Ade to be an outlet so hope he's up for it.

Edit: some interesting comments from AVB about Ade - talking of 'unlocking his potential'.......

Yeah, I thought that too. I'm sure Brad would be upset to miss out on the second leg too but I know who I'd rather piss off by not playing them.
 
I'm glad that Holtby's starting, but I'm pretty surprised by it, to be honest. I thought Dempsey would keep his place.
 
If we are fortunate enough to get through to the next stage, are we at home first in the next round or away ??

Terrible, terrible decision not to play Lloris. And Gallas as well as Friedel, it's not going to work. I expect us to be knocked out tonight.

Naturally I hope I'm wrong.

Glad to see a start for Holtby BTW, but AVB back to his early season mistakes. Unless it really is all about the top 4 for him, in which case he's picked a good team :)
 
with Friedal playing we will have to score,because we will concede,he's a good keeper but seem's unable to keep a clean sheet anymore.
 
Yeah right - like he was so much at fault for that goal in the first leg!!!!
