With all the talk of any potential trouble being in Ukraine, will Poland as the co-hosts be tarnished by association if there isn't any trouble there or be shown as being able to host a peaceful tournament where the Ukraine couldn't? Sky looked a potential trouble in Ukraine for English fans but I would've thought that with the amount of Irish in the UK, they would've also looked at the possibility of any trouble for them in Poland.
 
what youve done in qualifying and in the build up counts for nothing as England have proved in the past so adeptly, Everyone can beat everyone on their day,I fully expect sweden and Denmark to cause some pain to the opposition , Hard to see past Germany :(
 
Instead they go for a reserve keeper - Birmingham's Jack Butland - what about Stockdale or many others? At least one for the future I guess.

In fact what about Joe Lewis who just signed for Cardiff on a free?

Nah, I wouldn't call him up mate, I think it would be best for him to find a new club. I don't agree with the boo boys though, he should get our support if he stays. He could rediscover his form after all. The whistle was pure sarcasm in the initial comment.
 
It highlights what a dearth of current international standard keepers England has. If certain keepers hadn't retired from international football, we wouldn't be in this situation.

But we're not in the position where the best player we can call up is someone who has not been deemed ready to play in the Championship (yet). If the argument is that we don't need a third keeper so we may as well bring a kid for experience, fine, but in that case why were we originally bringing Ruddy? There are plenty of solid Championship keepers out there. Whatever the debate about the best top division in the world, the Championship is the best second division in the world by a million miles.

We had a lucky escape with Barry pulling out with injury. In the last World Cup he was embarrassingly slow and his pass completion is appaling. Yes he has a Prem winners medal but look who he had playing alongside him.
