Not really. He's been an OK part of a fantastic team. Sterling is by far the superior player.

England fans are too hung up on form players and people who are playing every game. Allen & Chester aren't regular at their clubs but have been fantastic for us. Kane has played almost every game for Spurs and was one of the form strikers coming into the tournament but he still stunk the place out.

Agree with this. It's about building a team, it's not about picking the best eleven individuals. A problem England have had for over a decade.

Mourinho who has just signed a deal at United... or Rodgers who has just signed one at Celtic <doh>

Please tell me some idiots aren't actually putting money on that

I joked about Mark Hughes above but I'd actually like that. Won't happen with him being Welsh and not wanting it

"Players have done everything I've asked of them".

Jesus, the tactical team meetings must have been terrible if they've been doing what they told <yikes>

Roy just taken no real responsibility. No admitting that he ****ed up 2 major tournaments in the last 2.

He seems like a lovely bloke, but as a football manager, the guy has done **** all over 40 years bar win a couple of league titles in Sweden back in the 80's.

They should not have a real manager and put it to a public vote before each game. We can all pick the team online and then a coach puts that team in.

Let's really see if we can out perform the last bunch of England managers <diva>

This is why we wanted to leave the EU... next we'll try and sneak out Europe altogether and join Asia so we can play in the Asian Championships and beat Australia and Japan <ok>

If we can't beat Iceland we've no chance against Japan. Is there an Antarctica Union?

Get Eddie Howe in and instruct him to pick in form players and not those with inflated reputations.

I don't agree with in form players. Nor do I think we should pick the so called big names. We should be picking the players that form the best team. If that means dropping a big name, so be it!

A good team is worth far more than a star player (unless it's Suarez but can't see him playing for England tbh)

Yeah. <laugh> Wtf did you ask them to do Woy? :emoticon-0112-wonde

Kane, Ali were still broken from Spurs' end of season it seems. Sterling was broken from not playing for the last 6 months.

Vardy doesn't suit International football when we are the dominant team, even he knows that which is why he turned down Arsenal.

Rooney isn't a CM

Smalling & Cahill are solid enough, but neither of them are organisers or leaders, in fact not one English player is a leader in that squad. Not one player that when the times get tough you could turn to and look at them and they'd rattle a few cages.

Go back and you had Terry, Shearer, Ince, Adams, Pearce... players that would get stuck into their team mates and tell them the truth. You look at that England squad, and like Liverpool there is no player that can stand up tall and had that leadership.

It seems all English players want to be all silky technical players that the mental aspect of the game has gone out the window over last 10 years.
