Kane, Ali were still broken from Spurs' end of season it seems. Sterling was broken from not playing for the last 6 months.

Vardy doesn't suit International football when we are the dominant team, even he knows that which is why he turned down Arsenal.

Rooney isn't a CM

Smalling & Cahill are solid enough, but neither of them are organisers or leaders, in fact not one English player is a leader in that squad. Not one player that when the times get tough you could turn to and look at them and they'd rattle a few cages.

Go back and you had Terry, Shearer, Ince, Adams, Pearce... players that would get stuck into their team mates and tell them the truth. You look at that England squad, and like Liverpool there is no player that can stand up tall and had that leadership.

It seems all English players want to be all silky technical players that the mental aspect of the game has gone out the window over last 10 years.

They didn't really fare any better in international football though...

Marcus Rashford dribbled past 3 players against Iceland. No player on the pitch managed more.

He came on in the 85th minute...

<laugh>

Not only was Roy a farce with no plan, the players were shocking and didn't even attempt to step up and try something apart from the kiddo subbed on at 85m.

I don't agree with in form players. Nor do I think we should pick the so called bug names. We should be picking the players that form the best team. If that means dropping a big name, so be it!

A good team is worth far more than a star player (unless it's Suarez but can't see him playing for England tbh)

Time for a joke then. The earwig joins the bug 11. They only have an 'O' left to put on the back on his shirt as the moths have eaten all the other numbers.

Anyhow, they're doing well bet before one game the dragonfly catches him crying in the changing room and asks him what's up. "Nobody likes me here, I just don't feel popular or to fit in. Despite my goals, the fans don't even have a song for me'. Nonsense, the Dragonfly says, and opens the changing room window so that they can hear the crowd, 'Listen to this'.

And then they hear the fans sing "Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O!"....

Cheque please..

Kane & Walker were crap when the pressure came on at the end of the season

I haven't got Walker marked down as the scapegoat, and I haven't got an agenda re Clyne instead, but it has to be said - defensively he is no better than Johnson (worse), but he is never criticised, for some reason.

Well I was going to suggest we let get the Iceland manager in to manage the team... and do some dentistry.... but the Brexit lot might not like it.

Lol!. My dentist is Polish. She's one of the few NHS dentists left here in York.

I'll send you a quid just because it wasn't the one about the centipede getting his boots on.
