Woy thinks Sterling had a good game against Russia and that Harry didn't look jaded....... Parallel Universe Alert!!
Suppose he has to be defensive around his squad, but <doh>

"Loyal" is just a kinder way of saying "stubborn". The most successful mangers have changed things within the tournament. Roy has not shown any indication of changing, as emphasised by his ludicrous comments on the danger of picking people who are in form for their clubs (!)

Same England lineup.
Wales on paper could attempt to defend as Russia did, but you are betting on
England being at best as clinical in attack as they were that game.

I suspect it will be more a PL slug-fest than anything
Walker vs Davies will be interesting though. :)

How Sterling has kept his place is beyond me.

Getting bored of Roy now to be honest. I obviously want England to do well but, in the long term, it almost makes sense for England to lose as that increases the chances of Roy being sacked.

To be replaced by yet another cookie-cutter clone.
I think the Apocalypse Now "You're an errand boy sent by grocery clerks to collect the bill" quote
is most appropriate when it comes to the FA and England managers.

Perhaps if FA jobsworths had their pay index-linked to the performance of England in
international finals, they would be more motivated to select the right manager in the first place.

Criteria for the job of England Manager in order of importance:

1. Blazer wearing.
2. Does as he's told by the FA.
3. Picks the players the sponsors want.
4. Knows something about international football and might win something with us.

It's always been the same with the odd breakout - Ramsey, Venables, Hoddle come to mind. However, Cappello, McLaren, Sven, Taylor and Revie were bloody awful appointments. Hodgson is just another shocker. We'll win nothing with him in charge.

Well the Wales defensive setup will be an old friend to the Spurs contigent.
They experienced it often enough in the PL last season.

Walker and Rose are awful, give the ball away so much. How bad our are FB compared to the older generation.
