Another utter embarrassment for England.
At least Hodgson respected the result of the referendum and took England out of Europe.

Breaking News: England offer Hodgson new contract.
No, wait, sorry... England take out contract on Hodgson.

Sorry but Rooney has played like that in every tournament I have seen him playing for England except his first appearance all those years ago.

The World Cup in South Africa in Brazil and so on and on.

This is true, but apparently he's there for his leadership and experience. So much for that! He isn't the best striker any more and he isn't a midfielder, and he's clearly a bad tournament player, hence he shouldn't be anywhere near the team. Will we appoint a manager with guts for once!

Rooney was ****, but he was far from the only one and he was used in a role that he's not suited to.
About half of the squad were either unfit, out of form, low on confidence or played out of position.
Joe Hart still managed to play worse than virtually anyone, somehow.

Awful management from the moment that England actually qualified.

Absolute disgrace!! And Hodgson must take the blame.
No one comes out in credit but Rooney should not have been out there for the last 30 mins and his decision to play Sturridge and Sterling was a disaster.
Rashford was always the 'ace in the pack' and he gave him 5 minutes - during which he did more than most others.
If I wasn't depressed enough after Brexit, this has just finished me off.
****ers the lot of them!!

I agree I was just replying to the fact that the commentary on the stream I watched was surprised at Rooney's poor passing. He has proved himself unable to think and kick a ball at the same time many times it is not a surprise any more.
