mandzukic was good again, but that diving part of his game puts me off a bit tbh! Good player though.

Bugger. You still rooting for the Irish, though? I'm hoping they give a good account of themselves, but I can't see them beating Spain. Then again, I couldn't see Italy drawing with Croatia. Did you put a cover bet on?

Yeah just went over to the bookies put a tenner on a draw at 9/2

Predictions, guys? I'm going for a 2-1 Spain win, Iniesta and Fabregas to score for Spain and Keane or Long to get the Irish goal. We all know how **** my predictions are - where's mystic Chris when you need him? :bandit:

Wolfsburg must be fairly happy with this tournament. 3 of their players have been really impressive, Mandzukic, Jiracek and Pilar.

Wonder what Llorente is thinking, First having a midfielder start ahead of him and now Torres.

I, personally, haven't been as impressed with Jiracek as much as the other two, but they've all done very well.

Torres was wasteful in his last game but he made sure he was in the right places, and Spain looked more dangerous with him as an outlet. I predicted (:headbang:) that Torres was going to be vital for Spain - we'll maybe see if there's any truth in that after this game.

Great finish, was similar to the one he nearly scored past us when we thrashed them at Anfield this year, except that one hit the bar rather than going in.

Typical Torres though, goes and then misses a sitter right in front of goal afterwards.

Spain looking ominous: Alonso's passing is looking crisp, Iniesta and Xavi are passing and moving well, and even Torres looks sharp. Ireland need a miracle at the moment, or this could be over before half-time.
