This does ..

... far more than your arse spinning attempt to make UK poverty level concers the rationale behind why people actually voted to leave ... <ok> <laugh>

You mention spin, and then reply with a different topic with an article dated from April? <doh>

That one was done well before the referendum, it seems a few thick sods on here missed it though.

Just to remind you, here's what you claimed. the referundum was ultimately decided on a mixture of celebrity, scaremongering, false promises and xenophobia .

You're trying to jump over replies there flossy Your initial claim was "the referundum was ultimately decided on a mixture of celebrity, scaremongering, false promises and xenophobia ."

Your words don't support that. You need to avoid those sugar sticks, it seems to be giving you a rush. <ok>

... here's a quote that seems to sum it up .. and it's not from me <laugh>

"The problem is of course that Leave went in with No Plan, a handful of lies - Immigration - a lie, £350m a week - a lie, more money for NHS - a lie, and as soon as they won, the architects, instead of putting a plan forward to sort out the mess, they all just ran and hid."

... there's My backup ... ...

here's yours ...

I've heard you say this quite often and I disagree. Although the economy was a big part of the argument (which is proving true, especially for the poorer regions), there was also the social protections offered by the EU Social Charter -.....

The problem is of course that Leave went in with No Plan, a handful of lies - Immigration - a lie, £350m a week - a lie, more money for NHS - a lie, and as soon as they won, the architects, instead of putting a plan forward to sort out the mess, they all just ran and hid.

The plan was for the Government, leave had no mandate to implement a plan therefore no need to produce one.

If that really is all you've got, you'd have been better saying **** all in less words.

****''ll ...

... and I've plenty more ... Rowntrees make so many different products ... unfortunately fo you, indeed, embarassingly so, ... a survey on what actually prompted voters to vote as they did ... isn't one of them <laugh>

That sugar's doing you no good at all.

When I get more time I will read Mr Rowntree's selective survey in its entirety..

Joseph Rowntree really wouldn't be at all interested. He's been rather dead for some time now!.

As I said, you'd be better sticking to your whining and blubbing, banter really isn't your forte. You look as daft as flossy.

I'd have to partially agree.

Immigration a la Farage was allowed to take centre stage by the remain side.

The economy, however, will suffer from this result. The only open question is how much...

I know it's hard to see that at times on this thread, but that's something that both sides seem to agree on. I hope that it lies somewhere between both extremes. Plenty of twist and turns yet to come.

Agreed. Sadly some see it all as a personal challenge rather than a discussion.

The plan was for the Government, leave had no mandate to implement a plan therefore no need to produce one.

So what you and Peter are saying is basically that Leave could make up any lies they wanted, they could tell people to Leave having absolutely no idea what was going to happen afterwards, have no plan/roadmap on how to sort out the country afterwards they'd have to idea if it was going to be a good idea or not. But that's ok, because they aren't in charge so they have no responsibility for anything that's happened since they started their campaign, they've got no responsibility for the people who believed their lies, and it is all up to the Government (a government, experts, economists and business leaders who all said that they were talking BS and were wrong by the way) to clean up their mess and to create a plan.

Is that correct?

Considering Boris was running for PM and running the Leave party, you think he'd have at least a vague outline of a plan between 2015 when he wanted us to remain IN and mid-2016 when he lead us out of the EU. Or Farage, since he's been campaigning for 20 years for us to leave the EU, you think he'd have at least an idea of how to get the country back on it's feet and be able to offer advice - even if just via the press.

But instead they both ****ed off...

I've heard you say this quite often and I disagree. Although the economy was a big part of the argument (which is proving true, especially for the poorer regions), there was also the social protections offered by the EU Social Charter - which I still don't think people fully appreciate the significance of the threat of losing it. There's the huge uncertainty we've plunged ourselves into. And of course, whichever way you want to look at it and argue about it, the EU has brought peace to main parts of Europe for over 50 years - the longest stretch we've ever had!

I totally agree that the Remain campaign was shocking, and instead of relying on the facts and talking to people as rational people they tried to match the Leave 'Project Fear' and kept pumping out propaganda to counter propaganda, and all they succeeded in doing was turned people off, they failed to engage, they slagged people off. It was awful. Cameron thought he could bully and scare people into doing what he wanted - as he did with the Scottish referendum.

The problem is of course that Leave went in with No Plan, a handful of lies - Immigration - a lie, £350m a week - a lie, more money for NHS - a lie, and as soon as they won, the architects, instead of putting a plan forward to sort out the mess, they all just ran and hid.

Sorry you can disagree all you like. Please provide links to where the remain used anything other than the economy as the basis of their campaign. I'm sorry but project fear was being implied by both sides. The only difference was that the remain got "double whammyed" from both Farage and Gove / Boris.
The other part around "no plan" for leaving, was not for the leave to worry about as such. They were / are not part of the government, so can say whatever they like, it will frankly not matter a jot. It's down to the government to decide and implement the exit strategy.

It's incredible that people believe a campaign that a) was proven to be full of BS - including BS painted on a ****ing bus in huge letters! and b) believed a campaign that had absolutely no ****ing clue what was going to happen post-Brexit! It's laughable.

As I said, I agree there was Project Fear on both sides, and the mental image of Cameron getting double teamed by Farage and Gove/Boris is an unpleasant one which you've now put in my head! Cheers! :emoticon-0119-puke: <laugh>

It is though. Your saying that it's ok they told lies, and they didn't need a plan as they aren't in government.

**** if I'd known that I would have stated my own IN campaign telling everyone they'd get a free unicorn if they voted IN and the UK would take over not just the EU but the World if everyone voted IN. It'd not only solve everyone's problems but Pippa Middleton would personally come round and give each person (over the age of consent obviously) oral sex!

I don't have a plan on how this would happen and it's all lies, but hey "I'm not the government, it's up to the Government to sort this out after the vote"...

I will try not to be rude, but you're either very young, completely naive or been part of some social experiment where you have only just been introduced to the world. The only consistent with politicians is the ability to be inconsistent, when it suits them. The old saying that you can tell he or she is lying, because their lips are moving has never been more apt.
The remain party did not then (or now) have to provide anything beyond the strategy used to convince people to vote leave, as unlike a general election, in theory, those running the country could remain in charge.
Boris, Gove and Farage could have, if they wished, promised every person in the UK a million pounds post referendum, but they were not (and still not in some cases) in a position to offer anything. That is down to the government of the day.
I'm sorry but I'm not sure why you find this so difficult to understand. I do appreciate that there is uncertainty, for all of us moving forward, but as said in an earlier post to you, your anger ISPs being directed at the wrong group of individuals.
