Maybe the Sensible Party could do something about this?

You seem one of those people who gets everything wrong. Me writing the blog. Voting for the side in the referendum that lost. Signing a petition that's ignored. Some people just have a talent for being wrong.
Noting shouts wrong louder than your ridiculous idea to start your own political party though

The Sensible Party - launched by a bloke who has all the charisma of a pavement pizza.

Shame you haven't shared the rest of your policies with us love, I'm sure they're to the right of Genghis Khan though.

Personally, I think it's a ridiculous assumption that the current leader should automatically appear on the ballot. The ballot is amongst his own party M.P's, if he can't get 50 of them to back him, he clearly does not enough support and should back down.

His continued presence will pretty much ensure a split party, IMO.

Yes, I know he will say that the membership are behind him. But this is not a ballot of the membership.

Well you have shown that you are certainly lacking in comprehension.
I didn't say you were googling Monty Python but then I can understand why you can't work that out for yourself. I understand they are so desperate for teachers that they will accept anybody.
The UK are leaving the EU and you better accept it. I'm sure some of you will organise a petition to get the petition accepted for a second referendum. I'm sure the Labour Party will hold an election of members to elect Jeremy Corbyn as leader while 80% of the Labour Party MPs will refuse to be in his shadow cabinet. Meanwhile the Conservative Prime Minister will get on with running the country while the Conservative Party elect a new leader who will take over as Prime Minister to run the country. One party rules and another party is in a shambles.

So once again no response to the main point so you're going to focus on some tedious point and still make a prize fool of yourself <laugh> What have any of your posts got to do with the Sensible Party. Are you embarrassed by it? Did you find that the mass following you expected only confirmed your darkest fears - that you are a dinosaur and people simply don't want you. Is misdirection a defence mechanism to cope with your failure? Do you feel a failure in life Pete because that's the impression I'm getting here?

The man's a complete twat.

It doesn't matter a jot what the protocols are, and whether legally he's right or wrong on the semantics of the election process.

What matters is that he can't command the support of even enough of the PLP MP's to attain a nomination, therefore he's not the man to lead the PLP, as has already been proven by the vote of no confidence being passed.

It's utterly ridiculous that he's still trying to hang on to leadership of the opposition when he's been black balled by 172 of his own.

Conservatives were the biggest party in the House of Commons in 2010. Conservatives had a majority in 2015. The Leave campaign won the referendum in 2016. Labour Party are in a mess. I would think the sides I support are the winners and there's plenty of evidence that your side is collapsing further.

We're talking about you Pete. Just because a failure supports the Tory party doesn't mean he isn't a failure. You may very well support the Tories or The Sensible Party for all I care. But THEY don't support the vast majority of your dinosaur views. The country and the political parties have changed over the last 40 years to reflect the population of this country on most issues. Unless you honestly believe they are the same as they were in the 70's... like you? :)

It's why I can see a split coming!....

The irony of using their own terminology against them seems lost on them. Stop the black comedy mate, they don't like anything black. Oops I've just used more sarcasm!! Oh noooooooooooooooooooo!

Using the excuse of so-called intellectual sarcasm to hide behind is cringe-worthy.

It could happen, but it'll not create the kind of strong opposition we need at this point in time

The Labour Party needs to get its head out its arse and decide whether it wants to go down the path of merely hardening the support of its core and potentially becoming a fringe party, or it wants to aim for the centre left and come up with a strategy and set of policies that'll win back the crucial floating vote, that the Tories nailed at the last election.

The fact that you intimated that using the word darkie in the context that it's been used here was racist, and yet in the sentence when you did so, you used the word 'coloureds', shows you up for the parochial Northern fossil that you are. You and Pete are 2 peas in a pod

"Coloured people"?!

Says it all!

Fair enough. I have used a term I thought was okay, as I don't generally get involved in these discussions. I have just Googled it and realise I may have given offence and I unequivocally apologise for any offence I may have given.

I do wonder why, using the term Darkies was considered amusing and acceptable.

See my apology. Now explain the answer to my question.
