At a 2016 high currently and early comments from politicians on both sides would suggest a narrow win for Remain. But the votes aren't in yet, so we shall see.

Yougov havent done one. They do an exit poll at the same stations and compare to previous results to predict. There is no previous to compare hence they haven't done one. Private companies have done exit polls though they have nothing to base them on. So are meaningless really.

Apparently, they've conducted them on talking to people they spoke to before the referendum to see how they actually voted.

I don't think Boris really gives a **** about the EU either way, he's just interested in Cameron's job. If Remain wins, I'd expect to see Boris championing the EU and creeping round the next popularist agenda.

Whoever wins this referendum, I sincerely hope that the other side get behind the decision that the country makes and try to make it work. The last thing we need is a divided country pulling in opposite directions.

Farage has now 'unconceded' defeat in similar fashion to the way he 'unresigned' after UKIP didn't win his seat at the general election.

Here's hoping he can 'unexist' after tonight.

This may be a silly question are the votes from each area combined? Or is it constituencies winning then them combined?

Based on the 382 local authorities I believe. First past the post wins. So first to 51% of the vote.

So the same as a general election!? You'd think it would be the total votes from the whole country combined either in or out.

As I understand it, yes the same format in as much that each local authority declares. But a key difference in that we're starting at 0 votes, so no majorities to overturn, no marginal seats etc.
