Anyone who's sat in 'hospitality' areas will know the friends and family of the stars can be obnoxious loudmouths full of free booze.

Talking of the relatives of players, I remember randomly going to watch England u16s playing Scotland in Falkirk with my dad in 2007. Jonjo Shelvey was playing and, although he scored, he was ****ing terrible. Constantly trying Hollywood passes that went out for throw ins, falling over his own feet, not tackling. He also suffers because he's pretty noticeable on the pitch, so when he ****ed things up we kept noticing it was the daft bald twat in the middle.

Quick check of the programme, find his name. He boots a shot miles wide when there was an easy pass :
"here, Shelvey, you're absolutely ****ing ****e lad" me and my dad shout almost in unison

"don't listen to them Jonjo you're doing really well, you're the only one trying something, you're doing so well" comes a lasses voice behind us. I turn to my dad and say "**** me, who's that, his ****ing mam". Awkward as **** when she pipes up "yes, I am". From that point on every misplaced pass we're sat there feeling guilty saying "unlucky Jonjo lad". He'll be the one laughing now like, I'm still to this day absolutely amazed that he made it!

I did 11 years on the door of a large rock music venue, and was called worse than shyte almost every night.

I punched two people out in all that time ...

... Dier had no right to behave that way, I bet he wouldn't have if Spurs had won.

Listening to radio today and someone rang in and said that if he was protecting his brother, anyone would do the same for a member of your family, but if you spin it around and the fan sees his brother getting **** on the pitch with another footballer, would the brother then run onto the pitch to protect him. In this case the fan would get a life ban so I would expect the same with any footballer going into the crowd. I kinda see what the caller is trying to say, but surely it’s a bit excessive calling for a footballer to get a lifetime ban.

Aye and you weren't getting paid 60k a week to do that job like Dier is. I think most of us would put up with a hell of a lot for money like that.

    That’s true mate.
I did 30 years on the front line in the jail, and did behave professionally.
