Loftus-Cheek would be a better option than Jake..We've got nothing going forward from midfield, nobody creative..Henderson is at best okay on the international stage. Sadly Sterling's career is on the slippery slope to nowhere. Look at the Spanish, there creative players are light years ahead of us...

England should play deep counter attacking football for me. We've got bags of pace and not a great defence. I'd get em playing like leicester when they won the league.

I'll be at the game but not expecting much of a performance. Sad to see Harry has been left out, ridiculous that he's behind Smalling.

Without wanting to appear churlish, it's possible England could do as well, if not better, than with no manager, than with Southgate.

With the lack of talent (i.e. Livermore in first eleven) we need an Allardyce or something Pulisian.

If we used what we had to its max, we could still do well
 
As soon as people realise we don't have the players, the better. Blame, who you like, too many Johnny foreigner, lack of good coaches etc..etc...

Whenever I hear his name the words "chicken" & "headless" come to mind! I used to think there was a player in there but recently I just cant see it anymore, hopefully I'm wrong and he has a blinder tonight.

I can understand why people on here want to see Harry get a game, he's a cracking player and deserves his chance.

But I can't help thinking some of you want it because he played for us.

He's a Liecester player now and therefore he should mean no more to us than anyone else in the England team.

I want him in the squad ahead of Smalling because I'm England fan and he's a better player.
 
it sums up the thinking of the manager when he feels he needs to play two defensive midfielders in front of the back 4 and one up top against the might of Malta ffs, negative twat, another bore fest tonight no doubt, scraping home by the odd goal. I`ll watch it, because I`m patriotic and want my country to do well, but for the love of god the sooner we get a manager that is prepared to play exciting football the better. We have a multitude of kids coming through who could seriously do some damage, we just need a manager to trust their talents, and Southgate is not that manager, far too **** scared to put out an offensive team to put other teams on the back foot.
