He was crap against Gloucestershire too, the thought of him trying to block Siraj makes me shudder.
Malan is sensible apart from the fact he's only played white ball cricket recently. Need players not to be scared off by bully boys India. Sibley and co looked **** scared before they batted.
Most players in England have only been playing white ball. Been little or none county championship cricket.

Rather have seen Mahmood given a chance - Actually, Overton for Curran and Mahmood for Wood would have been the more aggressive change
He's an opening batsman, he will be more comfortable in this role. I'd say it was a bigger show of faith making him bat at number 3.
Looked like a fish out of water - think he lasted about 6 deliveries. Personally I like him as a batter but what I am trying to say is that he looked seriously out of form
