Brilliant player and should be the first name on the England team sheet for the next decade if he continues on his current trajectory. Already the most complete midfielder we have.Bellingham’s a joy to watch.
Double pivots I think you mean kev!Bit boring but it's always difficult to break down a team who are so negative, regardless of their talent.
Not picking on him just because he's white ****e but Bamford looks a long way off the rest of our attacking options. I'd be surprised to see him in the net squad.
Our only position we're not brimming with options is centre back. Coady and Mings wouldn't have got anywhere near a squad in previous years but you can't have everything. This team are developing very nicely though and if southgate could get a bit braver and ditch his usual two defensive midfielders spearheaded by the defensive minded mount we will be good enough to dominate the ball against the big boys and really stablish ourselves as one of the world's best.
Double pivot, low block, high press, *insert any ****y football hipster term here*Double pivots I think you mean kev!
(agree) .... and not enough taking a man on and beating them. Too safe and predictable. We are becoming an efficient machine which is getting results but it's stifling the most exciting talent we've had in ages.still too few attempts to lob the ball into the box, despite the queues waiting there. too many backpasses, too much taking the ball from the edge of the box back to the back four. more goal attempts needed. too many instances of player a passing to player b and player b passing is straight back again.
Agreed. It's all about balance though and I suppose if we're developing a way to play then we need to stuck to it regardless of the opposition. I just think that in terms of balance south gate has settled a little too far onto the pragmatic side of things.(agree) .... and not enough taking a man on and beating them. Too safe and predictable. It's always hard to gauge against teams like England, but it's testament to their FA how much Andorra have improved as a footballing side.
