I really liked how, even though it was a world cup final, you could see players still trying things and seeing what worked and what didn't. Sometimes they looked absolutely brilliant when it came off and other times it looked like they had made really big mistakes. That's exactly what they need to be doing at that age. The downside of that is that these players need first team game time and how many Premier League crowds would allow them that freedom to make those mistakes?

Cracking game. Both sides were excellent. Woodman is our and England's future number 1. Jordan Pickford? Not a patch on this lad.

As you say, these lads should now learn and improve in their Clubs first teams and not being loaned out etc.

I couldn't agree more. To express themselves without the fear of being savaged by the press and the boss. The premiership and international football has become a bit to tactical and boring for me.

We were excellent and it was a cracking game. We should buy that Soteldo. He will be at a top European club within 5yrs. Looks like a ridiculous talent.

Have to say Woodie was class. England's defence throughout tournament was superb. That Onomah looks clumsy but wins so many tackles in midfield. These lads now need to be playing league football next year, preferably PL as they are good enough.
