Moving on from the game yesterday, I, for one, was eagerly awaiting the announcement as to which players Capello would be calling up for the ENG game against Wales.
I have to say I was delighted to see Henderson not called upon.
Before you all flame me, as I am so sure certain members of this board will, let me explain.
IMO, Henderson, since his big ENG call up, has been utter crap. There's no arguing the case really. Maybe the boy read his own headlines, read he was touted at ã20m to Man U in the summer, and felt he could let his game drop (although to be fair, I couldn't see what everyone else saw in him prior to his ENG game). The fact he has been snubbed for ENG may kickstart his game again.
Certainly with the return of Catts in the middle, we can move him from a position he should have never have played in. A couple of tackles a game, rubbish for a CM. For example, yesterday, he ducked out of a 50/50 challenge and ended up on the deck. There were screams from around me for him to commit and put his foot in.
I'm sure you all have read Henderson is not my favourite player, far from it. Don't think this article is me having a go. I hope he's put back on the wing, and his game kicks on. If not, IMO he should have a seat on the bench for the remainder of the season, until he shows what he is "capable" of.
Thoughts and opinions lads (and lasses)?

Personally, I'd think it'd take a lot more than that.
