I am not going to take the piss out of any other clubs fans, until we have promotion in the bag, a gentle teasing yes, but I am not going to go on and on about how ****ing cocky the Sunderland Fan, has been, I just will not do it, I mean it could happen to any club, just as you start believing that only losing 5 games all season will get you promoted, it is just not in me to take the piss in situations like that, know what I mean, its just simply not the right thing to do, so I will, just leave it there. They lost again, simple as.

I know you're right, but where's the fun in that? :emoticon-0130-devil

speaking of which, has anyone ever been to the seaside at roker or seaburn? (or seaham?)

Seaham's where plywood goes to retire. Either that or the plywood curtain company has one hell of a salesman round that way.

I used to buy loads of sea coal off seaham beach - used to bring it to a yard - put it through a barrel washer to separate the coal from the stone, sand and shells - a few thousand tonnes were washed onto the beach every week from mine discard from Seaham/Vane Tempest and a few hardy souls armed with baseball bats protected their bit of beach and made sure that their free coal remained theirs - as the mines closed so did the sea coal although a couple of small seams were exposed out to sea it didn't produce enough to make it worthwhile

They genuinely chose Blast Beach at Seaham as the set for Alien, as they didn't need to build a studio planet.

Just a fantastic result for us tonight. Like winning a game without doing anything. Avoiding defeat against Sunderland will be a priority now.

Yes, we could only finish top or second with those results.
We'd have 85 points with with 3 games left.

I'm posting this after Sunderland lost to Wigan, but before today's Lincoln & Blackpool games results are through.

If we lost all 3 of the remaining games, we'd still have 85.
Peterborough currently have 76 points with 6 remaining games - possibly max points = 94 points (3 from Lincoln). 92 if they draw with Lincoln, 91 if the lose to Lincoln). > City's 85 in all cases.
Lincoln currently have 66 points with 7 remaining games - possible max 87 points. If they lose to Peterborough that becomes 84 (<85)), draw with Peterborough becomes 85 (= to City, so could be a goal diff. determinator, or if they beat Peterborough it becomes 87(>City's 85).

Blackpool currently have 65 points, with 7 remaining games which gives them a max of 86 available points. 2 are against Sunderland.

That means 3 clubs, Peterborough, Lincoln and Blackpool could all end up with more points at the end of all fixtures. Only 2 need to be above us for us to miss out on automatic slots.

So the answer was no.

Blackpool only drawing 0-0 with Stanley and Lincoln up 4-0 against MKD approaching injury time as I post this...final results. Blackpool out.
