How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

Hertfordshire doesn't count as London <laugh>

I'm from Norf London, not far from the emptiest trophy cabinet in the world.

My area has seen a rise in theft, stabbings, sexual assault, potholes, house prices, vape shops, homelessness, drug abuse, council tax and shuttered derelict shops in the past decade.

So yes, things are certainly looking up under our benevolent mayor.

You’re from Norf London, but where do you live?

I live in the south east of London where my town is being developed loads. Apart from the negative news i see all the time about feral kids running around and attacking people on trains/in the city centre and people shoplifting. I personally havent seen anything untoward and the town im in is getting nicer.

Not sure how i would rate khan, only thing ****ty is turning double roads into single roads for crappy bike lanes but i suppose thats not awful

The only thing as an outsider I've seen about Khan is he shoved his logo all over the New Years eve firework display

Egotistical maniac ****

So far:

Reform have called for a GE.

Lib Dems have said "Not time for a GE."

Conservatives have called for Burnham to get into power ASAP, but haven't stated they want a GE.

Kemi says "winning a GE is not the same as running a country"

Zack Polanski appears to have disappeared from the face of the earth since last week.

Kemi won't want a GE at this point ... the Tories would be hard pressed to field a team in the Westtminster 5-a-sides if it was to take place currently ...

I don't think in principle anything here is wrong, but I think there is definitely a North South divide on why Burnham is a good candidate.

It's obviously once you cross the Watford Gap people are more confused as to why he would be a good PM.

I know you want a laundry list of policies but I also have experience with you on this board so know that's bollocks <laugh>

But I'll say, his conduct in the North West has always been top draw, he's always been a good MP, good cabinet minister, good representative for the area, his conduct regarding Hillsborough and how well he sort of set the precedent for how a local mayor should be the regional leader is staggering.

I think Burnham has blown the 3 London Mayor's out of the water and with less time to do so.

But again, I think calls for GE are impossible to ignore.
Yeah, I'm more playing tongue in cheek with the North / South divide tbph, not that I could give a ****.

I'm sure there would have been fury if this happened the otherway around, much like how Sinn Fein recently spoke out about 'those in Westminster.'

I know that Labour have chosen 'the best man for the job' but what happens if that goes tits up, that will rip a massive hole through the Labour party bigger than any divide that Starmer may have created.

Like the Tories before them, we've had seven Prime Ministers in ten years, we really need to change the way things are done, if we elect somebody at a GE, we shouldn't be changing it. It certainly did the Tories no favours to remove Boris, it just created more chaos.

Even Giogia Meloni has managed to stay in power 4 years this October. Five in ten for the Italians.

We've no idea even what Andy plans to do, so why bother having a General Election at all, if we keep proceding the way we have done for the last ten years. IF no one contests Burnham he walks straight in to the ****ing job...

not606 style bantz that. Although tbf, Spurs have had 13 managers in ten years, counting caretakers, so we've not reached them levels yet.

I think the consensus is that Burnham has done a good job as Mayor of Manchester. Whether that means he'll make a good PM remains to be seen.

Incidentally, if you ask most Londoners (not @Sucky ) they'll tell you Khan has done a decent job as Mayor of London. But his name's Khan, so to people who get their information from the right wing press or the sewer that is X, he's basically Vlad the Impaller
Nowt wrong with Khan...

Let's get something straight here, the only people to blame for the demise of Keir Starmer is the left. The likes of Wes Streeting and Lisa Nandy, who beckoned to the media all because Starmer refused to massage their ego's.

Then along comes the Artful Dodger, who wasn't even a MP, wins a Markerfield Election and suddenly that gives him a mandate to run our country.

Someone we never even voted for in the rest of country, supported by the right-wing media, and that same media will completely destroy his sorry little arse in the months ahead.

Does anyone even have a clue what he will actually do when he gets in Number 10, is his postioning just to charm people, is he going to say yes to Trump where Keir said no.

All I can see is the artful dodger leading his merry band of ****wits, Wes and Nandy, into lala land and completely out of touch with reality. They make Lammy look like the brains of ****ing Britain.

****ing hell if they aint rolling out Blair the devils child or **** loving Mandelson, they are rolling in a man who thinks he has the midus touch and on what budget would that be, and will Rachel from accounts still be in a job.

Is this really this wonderful Labour party that the lefties kept on about for the last 14 years. Anyway well done guys, you achieved your aim and help Reform move closer to the front door. You never ****ing learn.

It's like the leftie media woman said on the TV last night, the only way Keir got the hospital waiting lists down, was because they died waiting. I can only think Andy the artful dodger will do it quicker by exterminating people like a Dalek.

Bravo!
Obviously you've missed the never ending media attack on him after he threatened to properly tax their owners.
