In my early student days I went to Goldsmiths in New Cross

That had a heavily subsided student bar where I can’t even remember the prices, but it was cheap enough to get ****ered on a tenner

Also at the end of term times the bar often had loads of barrels that wouldn’t keep over the holidays, so you could get free beer on the last day of term.

I ended up moving to Brum after I finished there, where the beer in the student union was even cheaper lol. Amazing Balti houses too. Where you could get a Balti and a naan the size of a duvet for under a £10 and then onto the union bar for cheap pints.

I agree. We're all living too long, and what's the ****ing point when you can't afford to retire until you're 70, and 10 years later you're ****ting your pants in a care home, where you sit and rot for a further 10 years? Seen it with my mum and dad; both okay until they got to 80, after that it's been pretty grim. Grandparents all died in their 70s, except my Nan who was 86 but didn't leave the house for 10 years.

If I was sure I'd drop dead at 75 on my way home from football, I'd retire tomorrow and take that.

My mum used to worry when me and my old dad went off to St Mary's together, but I thought if we won and he died coming out of the ground, that's a win double.
I refuse to die until I get my first state pension out of these bastards.

If I do die before, expect the hell of brb to be unleashed.

Funny really, we got nagged for years about smoking and drinking, now they are complaining we are not dying quick enough.

I think as soon as they stuck the 250cc under a test, it was time to get a car and go the whole hog...again saving my life, they've only got themselves to blame.

I'd be no good as a stalker mate, I never remember correctly where anyone lives.

I was close'ish lol - I think yourself I just landmark by a football ground, who would I go and watch if I was there type of thing.

I quite like Fulham's new stand overlooking the Thames, not sure I'd want to pay their prices though.

I believe so mate, they were the only country I could think of that ever did it. Not sure what the background detail was to all this though regarding Ie the government mandatory guidelines and how it was enforced.

The "one child" policy was intended to prevent
over-population (understandable given the perennial
natural mass famines that have historically plagued China) .

And as with all things Marxian, a disaster
(although this time not near immediate but a "ticking time bomb" ) .

Obvious things like :

1. Not meeting the 'societal replacement' factor (which is at least 2) .

2. China culture being highly patriarchal
(what it means when you know your incoming only child is going to be female) .

You also have the collapse of the family support
system (no siblings/aunts/uncles/cousins etc) .
