How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

Give your head a wobble ffs. How recently were you saying employers should wean themselves off cheap foreign labour? Now you're saying it's okay to hire kids and pay them a pittance, so long as they're serving you a double espresso.

The hospitality sector is ****ed because nobody is spending money, not because they can no longer exploit kids for pocket money. Which is hardly surprising since Brexit has made us all 6% poorer.
Just seen you edited your post.

Yes I did complain about migrant exploitation, exploitation where they didn't get proper breaks, exploitation when the accomodation they were given was the pits and multiple occupancy without adequate facilities. Thought you would be against actual exploitation.

The reason the UK didn't employ UK kids on the minimum wage BEFORE Reeves increases, was because of this exploitation. People often tend to allude the EU was cheap, yes of course it is, because we and they, especially in Spain were exploiting people.

Don't try and combine the two, because Rachel Reeves made subsequent increase to minimum wages and taxes after the exploitation had finished (UK only). The original wages were still well above explotaition levels and affordable with the exception of lifes fraudsters who deal in the black market.

For someone who is supposed to be a hard-line union guy I'm surprised you don't understand all this and it has to be explained to you. But you are happy for those at the very bottom of the ladder to be exploited, because you look down on them, then when they are unemployed you will call them skivers, when they've always been treated as slaves.

This is not now above slaves this about businesses being able to pay a fair wage to kids, without Reeves screwing the small businesses over and sending them to the wall, so we have more unemployed.

You really need to get your head out of the history books make and start reading about modern day exploitation. I've posted enough of the material up on this site, that often gets ignored, and you know why, because you don't ****ing care.

You going to stay and argue the point Archers, admit you were wrong, or you going to creep back to GC now with your tail between your legs as always, eh mate?

Yeah, the economy, by which I mean the world’s economy, was just about flatlining before the Comedy President of LaLa Land decided to have a full mental episode and start lobbing tomahawk missiles all over the gulf. That’s not down to the minimum wage for yoofs going up by 75p an hour..it’s down to a crisis of capitalism that’s been 40 years in the making

No mate, you can't hide behind Trump, face it mate Reeves has screwed small businesses, that's not Trumps fault, that's not Elons fault, they are to blame for a lot, but Rachel from accounts controls our purse strings and screwed everyone to the wall, including our own military defence expectations, while Keir was doing a u-turn on everything else known to man because he has no balls. That's your left mate, whether you like it or not, they have played us all, just like the Tories, because it's millionaires all at the top, including your beloved leader Sir Keir Starmer.

Pubs are closing faster than you can say “How ****ing much, I ordered a pint not a week’s holiday in Magaluf?”, and have been doing for years.
Yes and that’s unlikely to stop any time soon. Even reasonably busy pubs aren’t making a lot. The cost of running any hospitality business that requires a few staff is obscene now. Demand overall is down of course but it’s not the main factor.

There's a little part of town round here that is a square mile or so of terrace streets, the old Vetch used to be in the middle of it.
Was a Christmas pub crawl, the Sandfields crawl.

Every single pub is now shut. None of them ever served food, they were just boozers.

Driving through there now and then, it seems completely mad that they even all existed in the first place. No one goes to a terraced street pub to just drink pints anymore. We've all moved on.

Not sure it was was Brexit that caused that mind. People just don't go to sit in a **** pub drinking **** beer all day.

The ten quid a pint scenario is post Covid, not Brexit.

We're all paying the Covid **** show back, because both sets of chancers in government won't even consider taking the hit themselves.

*(too busy throwing billions at other countries, obvs)
