  • Total voters

We won’t need your vote mate but me and my ice team will march you off a boat in the channel for being a traitor to your country
Mate if you want to march me out the country feel free...tbph I would leave the country if I could, but sadly I can't because I need the NHS....another good reason not to vote Farage.

All police forces to get facial recognition, pray for @Sucky :bandit:

More seriously though for those that think we have nothing to worry about with this technology, some research shows there's a similar technology under a different name that ICE are using in Minnesota to identify their potential targets - they actually break normal protocal by using their own mobile phones, with an app that's called Mobile Fortify.

While we seem readily happy to sleep walk into allowing this technology 'for our own safety', America has shown the more sinister side of it's use...

ICE has stated that they will not allow people to decline to be scanned by Mobile Fortify, and that photos taken, even those of U.S. citizens, will be stored for 15 years, something that has been criticized primarily because ICE has not performed a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) for Mobile Fortify, the right to decline other forms of biometric verification to the U.S. government is often available under other circumstances, and the 15 year window is viewed as unnecessarily large.

But everything is fine people, nothing to worry about.

AI Overview

Yes, facial recognition used by law enforcement in the UK, specifically
Operator-Initiated Facial Recognition (OIFR), is very similar in function to the Mobile Fortify app used by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Both technologies allow officers to take a photo with a handheld device (smartphone) in the field to identify individuals against a database of suspects or records.

Bro I aint voting Reform. I just might not bother voting, but we'll see what's occurring in three years time or however long it is before the next GE. I reckon I can just sit out the next General Election and let all them ****ers fight it out.

Not doing reform any favours IMHO - their main appeal was 'doing it differently' ... in danger of becoming ...

:emoticon-0159-music **** bunch of Tories... you're just a **** bunch of... :emoticon-0159-music

So who did you vote for in last general election and who will you vote for in a future general election?

The point is, governments of all persuasions have a history of rolling over for the likes of Musk and Zuckerberg, but at least the Aussies are trying to regulate the sewer social media has become. Personally I'd put anyone with a twatter accoiunt in gaol, but I appreciate that might seem a bit extreme.

You'd get my vote ... same types used to get their knowledge from the back of *** packets and Panini stickers ... now they have an intravenous bollox drip they take as Gospel <laugh>

Lib Dems - and they got in (first time in possibly a century that the Tories were ousted) - was a bit of a protest tbf - Labour had no chance in the constituency of Little Hampton and Dangly-Dell ... but the usual bollocks being farted by the Big 2 wasn't at all appealing - scaremongering about each other...

... in my defence, I did read all the manifestos and only the Lib Dem and the Greens were giving any kind of rationale or plan for the locality ...

Likely to vote Green next time (at this point)...

Long way to go to have to think about but assuming I’m in the same constituency it’s between Labour and Green so has to be Labour for me still. Expect that toothless **** will be round here campaigning as it’ll be seen as a low probability but not impossible to win seat and the MP has always been pro-Israel. Few too many gays to send his deputy.

But if I was in a seat Reform could win I’d be less wildly against the idea than I was. Still think it’ll be some disastrous hung parliament situation.
