Unbelievably, there's the George cross painted on a mini r'bout just up the road from me.

In Swansea. In Wales!

There's a few around North Wales too but theyre mainly scousers so to be expected

The Welsh version is absolute proof that this isn't about being patriotic, you never see a Union Jack in a Wales but they've felt the need to come up with this ****ing stupid version to justify putting it up.

Have you actually seen this welsh version or is someone just pulling your leg, it seems an awful lot of trouble to go to creating that monstrosity. Not suggesting you're gulliable mate, but I know you like to play jokes to wind folk up, so just wondered if someones playing you here.

Yeah I'm sort of thinking the same, looking at the website he's ignoring immigration and almost saying that it's not an issue.

It’ll have split into eight different parties by the next election all squabbling over who hates Jews the most so I wouldn’t worry about it. Deeply unserious people.

I actually think it’s a good thing Corbyn got elected as an independent. He’s popular as a local MP, he’s highly principled, and the left needs a few mavericks. But he’s no leader, will never get anywhere near Downing Street, and he’s actually a bit of an idiot.

Supposed to be the outcome of the Epping hotel government appeal today. I really don't get why they keep doing this **** on Fridays, leave the outcome until Monday, otherwise you are setting the old bill up for **** loads of work for the weekend. At least Monday, they've got time to prepare for the following weekend. Plus kids will be back to school soon, so that will keep some parent protestors occupied.

Home office wins appeal if I'm understanding it right.

Looks like it might be that way.

Right call imo. Judge has outlined how you would create a situation where asylum seekers would need to be housed elsewhere anyway or be destitute on the streets

also that protests outside of hotels shouldnt influence planning law, otherwise it will incentivise more disorderly protests

Roundabout painters won’t like this

He’s basically saying that the judge who issued the injunction is an incompetent nincompoop

You are correct ... but loads of smoke and mirrors .... and the bigger issue of whether hotels should be used (are suitable) to accommodate asylum seekers in the first place is completely swerved...

And there it is, injunction ‘set aside’ and appeal granted

I think they need to let asylum seekers work and earn a living like they do in other countries. That way they can pay for their own accommodation and contribute in taxes.

I know there’s an issue around legality for employment. But there must be a way that they could be employed in special government approved schemes.

The bigger issue here is employing more people to process the claims instead of putting people in hotels for more than a year or so.

^^^^ think I’ve just killed two birds with one stone there…. Employ the asylum seekers as home office asylum process workers
