That's not even true in many muslim countries today. Off top of head: Turkey, Azerbaijan, the central asian countries like Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Albania, Bosnia, Tunisia, Morocco, Indonesian, Lebanon, etc, etc, etc.... most Muslim countries do not have sharia law.

Why would people who grew up in Britain and lived all their life with freedoms and protections want to suddenly be repressed. They wouldn't.

I think all this talk of 'majority' is incorrect in itself by these right-wing nuts.

As Afghanistan demonstrated on the withdrawel of American troops, it don't take long to control the majority of the population with strict rules when it's accompanied with guns.

The new generation would never have lived under sharia as American troops had been there for something like two decades, it took just a matter of days to convert from the freedoms the youngsters had grown up under to strict rules, especially for women.

You only need an extreme minority, with weapons and the threat of punishment or death to over-rule the majority. Much like Putin controls his population of 144M with brutal police tactics and snatch squads if you step out of line.

Much like the British police force already do, control with few numbers, until we had riots and the police had to cancel all leave and transport them to areas most needed.

Much like Yugoslavia where ethnic tensions and nationalism grew and eventually it boils over.

It's divide and conquer init. But Afghanistan is a case of extreme geographical problems keeping the local populations divided, the same with Russia.

The rich West which see's massive benefits from the Putin regime are a farcry from the regions which are pretty ****ing poor and lacking serious investment. But those people in the east and regions are all divided and controlled.

The British population packed like sardines are in general a ****ing pain anyway. A nation of perpetual ****ing whingers complaining that they don't have the right to whinge about stuff is bizarre, what else do Brits do all day? The Labour government literally cannot do ANYTHING right according to some, but from what I observe it's a simple fact that Starmer is a significantly better PM than the last 2 Conservative ones and would certainly be better than Kemi ****ing Badenoch.

Nigel Farage is a divisive figure and tbh a 5 year Reform minority government will just be a ****ing pain in the arse. For everyone.

Don't disagree with any of what you say, as you recognised I'm pointing out extreme examples, but examples that nonetheless demonstrate you don't need a majority, just the accessibility to weapons and some nutters - but unless someone is thinking of conquering the rest of Europe at the same time, then don't go there lol.

Reform won't be a pita for everyone, I'm sure the exceedingly wealthy will become even more so, and people like Sucky will bow, scrape and doff their cap to their betters.

The civil service will be operating in overtime cos they won't have enough people who have knowledge of how government works. But the UK is thankfully set up in a way that it can survive complete tits taking control for a spell and not resulting in complete and utter collapse.
