At least he's gone without tears, I couldn't have stomached that.

Said his bit and fooked off, that will do me.

Imagine Ronaldo giving his retirement speech when it comes <wah>

Fair play to RIshi, I thought that was a very magnanimous speech, especially his words about Kier Starmer.

I also liked the fact that he mentioned how unremarkable it was that he was the first British Asian PM, that's the way it should be. We are a multi-cultural society and the voices of Farage and those who'd seek to draw divisions on racial lines need to hear that.

He spoke very well.

And while he will go down as the Tory leader with the poorest ever performance at the ballot box, I think it is fair to say that had the public been given a second shot at Boris, or a first shot at Liz, the Lib Dems would now be His Majesty's Opposition.

Labour take Poole from the Tories with a majority of 18 lol

Talk about rubbing salt into the wounds <laugh>

This is why it is so important to get out and vote.

I live in a constituency that was won by a similar margin.

If a few dozen people hadn't gotten out of bed yesterday, I'd still be living under Tory leadership.

Indeed. The Tories were decimated last night, but if they'd still had Boris or Truss at the helm, they would have been annihilated.

I said at the time when Boris became leader, that I was pleased about it, because he would expedite the demise of the Tories and so it's come to be, with their worst election defeat ever

:)

If Boris was leader the Tories wouldn’t have suffered such a heavy defeat.

No way that's the case. After the **** show he oversaw in office, culminating with him being found guilty of misleading Parliament, if the Tories had still hung onto him for this election, they would have been annihilated.

Dunno. Somewhere in between probably. Farage maybe still gives it a go but he doesn’t have the impact on seats he did.

With Truss as leader you’re probably talking Big Ed Davey as LOTO.

Didn't realise the King had to approve the incoming Prime Minsters new cabinet, not that he wouldn't, just didn't realise that was part of the formalities...if I heard it right.

Prime Boris maybe, but not if he'd been kept in place.

Buy yeah probs the only thing that would have ****ed them over even more would have been Truss taking them into an election.

Anyway, moot point now. They are toast :)

It's ok Saf, lots of people like me have only lent Starmer their vote. I'll give him a fair throw of the dice, unlike many others would give if the shoe was on the other foot....The Piskies of this world who have their head buried in the Socialist Worker....while living life like a Tory <laugh>

It's okay bro, we all know you're a closet Green.

I was wondering why Rishi went to the Palace in an Audi, now realise it's because they want the normal cars for Keir now.

Apparently Jeremy Hunt left 11 Downing Street in the back of a Ford van lol

I seen a crazy stat like out of our population of 65 million or whatever it is, if the Tories had gained another 300k seats, they could have won the election. Fine margins which show how easily it can flip back and forwards.

I expect Reform to continue building rapidly now Farage has actually been elected as an MP. Four million votes shouldn’t be disregarded. They’re a genuine threat, now. It’s up to Labour to do well and keep them at bay.
