would he still need a by-election win tho to sit as an MP?

what a farce if that bumbling idiotic stuffed toy comes back

<laugh>

I'd love it, people want to polarise politics so make it happen I say.

he would make it an interesting 5 years if he did come in. Looks like a desperate roll of the dice by the Tory party rolling him out to prevent a ‘mega majority’ as they are calling it.

Yes, he would, so they can do it two ways. Find a safe seat that the local party is happy to take him and replace the sitting.

Convince an older MP to retire and bring in their desired replacement. This is what they did with Portillo, gave him a safe Essex seat

Either way, by-election

I don't see how that can make any difference to the size of the majority tbph, if they were going to do that they should have done it months ago. Seems all too late and pointless at this stage.

I don't really take much notice of polls, I just wait to see what happens on the day.

Labour will win, the only unknown is by how much and for some that can depend on how they feel on the day.

All I knew when I done my postal vote a week or two back was I wasn't voting Tory, after that it was just stick your cross somewhere...other people will go through that same process but in a voting booth.

No Thursday, generally around a Thursday. Friday would go into the weekend otherwise for counting.
Finishing early on a Thursday would be a bit of a piss take tbh

Which reminds me, wonder if the kids are off school tomorrow, suppose it depends if itheir location is used as a polling station.
