So why's Boris turning out now, or more to the point what's he up to?

A couple of reasons imo. He wasn't brought in to turn labour voters to vote Tory. It was an attempt to get disillusioned Tory voters who are thinking of going to Reform or just vote for someone else to think again and his appeal to get them to stick with Tory. Damage limitation exercise.

So why did he come in at the end and not earlier? Once again imo bcos he doesn't really allign with many of Rishi's policies so he would never campaign for them. It's much easier to come in at the end, speak little about policy and just try gee everyone up.

Also by coming in at the end, he's made himself relevant, letting the party know, I'm still here bcos he knows after the election the Tories will be looking for a ray of light and so it's opportunism.

I thought it was very telling that Bojo and Rishi didn't share the stage or shake hands.

The Democrats are ****ing crazy, they put aside Bernie Sanders in 2016, who had the popular vote by a mile, in favour of Hilary Clinton, who was universally despised by most of the US, which ensured a Trump victory, now instead of getting a new up and coming candidate to take on Trump they are insisting on moving forward with Biden again, a man who doesnt know where is most of the time and cant tell rat **** from Rice Crispies. I mean look at this ****......

I think social media is cruel though, I don't agree with mocking the guys condition, and I'm sure people of any age can fumble their words, and social media will always exaggerate it. I just think to be in charge of a superpower you should at least have the mental agility, and it wouldn't be such a bad idea to have the physical ability to sustain the long hours and days they have to work. The guy needs to retire and put his feet up with his partner, be on holiday everyday, instead of running a country every day, even if you are only the puppet of a regime. Even if Keir Starmer does three terms, he'll still retire younger than what Biden is now ffs.

Thing is, I think a lot of his cabinet see him as pliable and that if he gets a second term, they can pretty much run the country as they see fit with him as a lightning rod.

The Dems should have chosen another candidate at the nominations, and whilst I agree with you about Biden, I wonder if it's a bit too late in the game to change him now. It would add so much fuel to the Trump campaign and he would claim that the Dems are in disarray and have had to shoehorn in a no2 because they backed the wrong man, which would be true to an extent. I think it would be ruinous for the Dem campaign.

He's a perfect candidate, good age, experience running a state, charismatic. He'd wipe the floor with Trump.

For a laugh, I did the US version of isidewith as well, he was my most matched policywise. 82% which is the highest I scored in any of the countries I tested it with.

Doesn't surprise me, I like him, he seems fairly common-sense type approach to politics.
