I think it’s more to do with him trying turn himself into Putin and his country like Russia. He was in the process of binning off their national broadcasters and replacing it with a government controlled one to spew out propaganda for him.

Invade? How very racist of you. Poor people are leaving war torn countries and are simply looking for a better life and safety.

The Irish should take them in. Just like the rest of the world opened their doors to the Irish.

They should put me in charge of immigration, I'd be distributing them fairly throughout the UK, I'd be carting them by the bus load to Cornwall on Wales. <laugh>

The ones in Australia were sent on penal ships, and the ones that went to the US had to sign up to fight on the front lines in the civil war, not really open doors tbh.
